65-Year-Old Fitness Influencer Redefines Aging with Strength and Confidence

At 65, Teresa Burkett is proving that age is no barrier to strength and fitness. Through her inspiring TikTok account, Silver is the New Strong, she shares videos of herself doing pull-ups, deadlifting over 300 pounds, and demonstrating that fitness can be empowering at any age. Burkett’s journey began in her 50s when she realized that building strength was essential for aging gracefully and maintaining independence.

Once known as the “cardio queen,” Burkett shifted her focus to strength training, discovering a new sense of vitality and confidence. “It’s not my silver hair or wrinkles that will age me—it’s the loss of muscle and strength,” she shares, emphasizing that this is something everyone can take control of.

Now a personal trainer, Burkett works out six days a week and encourages others, especially women, to embrace their strength and change the narrative around aging. Her message is clear: “You’re never too old, and it’s never too late to get stronger.” With her uplifting videos and empowering mindset, she’s inspiring thousands to see aging as an opportunity, not a limitation.
