90-Year-Old Great-Grandmother Proves It’s Never Too Late to Follow Your Dreams

Annette Roberge, a 90-year-old great-grandmother of 15, walked across the stage at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to receive her associate’s degree in business administration—a moment decades in the making. Annette first began her studies in 1972, shortly after her husband tragically lost his life while serving in Vietnam. Faced with raising five children as a single mother, she put her education on hold, prioritizing her family’s needs above all else.

Over the years, Annette built a successful career in the insurance industry while keeping her dream of finishing her degree alive. After health challenges and the pandemic delayed her plans, she discovered she had earned enough credits to graduate. At her 90th birthday celebration, she joyfully announced the news to her family.

The graduation ceremony was nothing short of magical, with Annette receiving a standing ovation from fellow students and attendees. Not stopping there, she plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree next. Annette’s inspiring story is a testament to perseverance and the belief that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
