This 8-Year-Old Got the Coolest Prosthetic Arm He Could Have Asked For

For Tobi, an eight-year-old from the UK, a love for Lego just turned into something life-changing. Born with a limb difference, he recently received a personalized prosthetic arm from the Portsmouth Enablement Centre and it’s built to reflect his biggest passion.

Decorated with bright Lego-themed patterns and even embedded with two real Lego bricks, Tobi’s new arm is as functional as it is fun. He was involved in designing the limb from start to finish, making sure it truly felt like his own. The creative team behind the project says prosthetics should reflect a user’s personality, not just meet medical needs. Tobi’s mom called the care “phenomenal,” saying he now shows off his arm with pride. From superheroes to building blocks, the clinic customizes limbs to celebrate what each child loves most. And for Tobi, it’s all about confidence—brick by colorful brick.
