America’s Cutest New Recruits Just Reported for Duty in Alaska

There’s a new must-see livestream taking over the internet—and it stars five of the fluffiest federal workers in America. Denali National Park’s Puppy Cam is now live, giving fans a front-row seat to the newest litter of sled dog recruits.

Named after weather-related phenomena—Squall, Storm, Graupel, Dew, and Fog—these pups are more than just adorable. They’ll grow into elite sled dogs, trained to help rangers navigate the two million acres of Alaskan wilderness during harsh winters. The Denali Kennels have operated for over a century, preserving a vital tradition of dog-powered patrols that collect weather data and support conservation. With each tail wag and clumsy tumble, the pups are slowly being prepped for real duties through early walks, handling, and socialization.

The Puppy Cam, supported by Alaska Geographic, is helping keep this tradition alive amid budget cuts. But for now, these future heroes are simply stealing hearts—and plenty of screen time.
