Burger King’s Viral CEO Whopper Bite Is A Shot Fired

The internet has a new hero, and he goes by Tom Curtis. After McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski went viral for what can only be described as the most hesitant burger bite in fast food history, referring to the chain’s new Big Arch as a “product” and nervously confessing “I don’t even know how to attack it”, Burger King swooped in with the most perfectly timed clapback. Well Burger King’s official TikTok posted a video of president Tom Curtis taking a massive, confident, mayonnaise-smudging bite out of the chain’s newly revamped Whopper. The caption? Simply: “Thought we’d replay this.” The crowd went wild. The video has already surpassed two million views and counting, with commenters piling on with comparisons like “He took a decent bite unlike the McDonald’s CEO” and “This dude knows how to take a bite.” One fan summed it up perfectly: “He never once used the word ‘product.'”

The viral moment couldn’t have come at a better time for the Flame Grilled King. Burger King recently announced its first significant Whopper upgrade in nearly a decade, featuring fresher-cut vegetables, creamier mayonnaise, and a new premium clamshell box, and the TikTok taste-test served as a deliciously authentic launch moment. Burger King has not officially confirmed the video was a direct response to its Golden Arches rival, but the internet has already rendered its verdict. Meanwhile, McDonald’s launched its own new menu item, the Big Arch, nationwide today. It is a supersized double quarter-pounder stacked with white cheddar and a signature sauce. The burger war is officially on, and right now, Burger King is winning the battle for hearts, stomachs, and TikTok comment sections everywhere.
