Dolly Parton’s Million-Dollar Heart for Hurricane Helene Relief

Dolly Parton has committed $1 million to support relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Tennessee, where she grew up. During a press event at a Newport, Tennessee Walmart, Parton announced her donation along with her East Tennessee businesses’ decision to match this amount, amplifying the impact of their collective aid. In addition, Walmart escalated its original $6 million pledge to $10 million in response to the growing needs of the affected communities. This substantial financial assistance will be channeled through the Mountain Ways Foundation, which works closely with local entities to ensure efficient distribution of aid to those most impacted by the disaster.
