Dressing with Dignity

Sisters Brooke and JoJo Friedman, from Los Angeles, launched SheStyles, a nonprofit aimed at providing a personalized shopping experience for underserved teenage girls. The initiative began in June 2022, transforming the standard clothing donation process into curated pop-up boutiques where girls can choose outfits that truly appeal to their individual styles. With the help of volunteers, known as “SheStylists,” the sisters have successfully organized 10 events, helping over 700 girls find joy and confidence in selecting their own clothes. Each participant leaves with a custom shopping bag filled with new and gently used items, enhancing their self-esteem and personal expression.
