Endometriosis Diagnosis Breakthrough: A Game-Changer for Women’s Health

A groundbreaking blood test for endometriosis is on the horizon, with Australian company Proteomics International. The test, named PromarkerEndo, demonstrated remarkable accuracy in recent trials, identifying severe cases with 99.7% accuracy and maintaining over 85% accuracy even in early stages of the disease.

Endometriosis, a painful inflammatory condition affecting millions, currently requires invasive laparoscopy for diagnosis. PromarkerEndo offers a non-invasive alternative, potentially reducing the average seven-year delay in diagnosis.

The test analyzes a panel of proteins in the blood, refined through trials involving 749 participants. While further validation is needed, experts believe PromarkerEndo could revolutionize endometriosis care by offering earlier, more accessible diagnosis.

Pending regulatory approval in Australia, this innovation marks a hopeful leap toward better care for those living with endometriosis worldwide.
