Florida Deputies Rescue Dog from Sweltering Car

In a critical rescue captured on body cam and shared by the Pinellas Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called into action to save a small dog left in a locked SUV outside a Florida courthouse. With temperatures inside the vehicle soaring to 120 degrees, quick thinking led to deputies smashing a window to reach the distressed animal. The rescue, which took place after the dog had been trapped for 30-45 minutes with no air conditioning, serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of leaving pets in parked cars, especially under the blazing Florida sun. The Sheriff’s Office used this incident to reinforce a vital message: never leave pets or children in a parked vehicle, as the consequences can be life-threatening.
