Injured Mountain Lion Cub Released Back to the Wild

After enduring two surgeries and a seven-month recovery, a young mountain lion cub has triumphantly returned to the wild. Struck by a vehicle in Simi Valley, California, the cub was found with a severely fractured left leg when he was just 5 months old. Under the dedicated care of the San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Center, he healed and grew stronger. Recently, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife facilitated his release, marking a hopeful new chapter for the resilient cub as he rejoins the wilderness where he belongs.
