Mikaela Shiffrin Claims Historic 100th World Cup Victory

Mikaela Shiffrin cemented her place in skiing history with her 100th career World Cup win on Sunday, marking an incredible comeback after a serious crash in November. The 29-year-old dominated the slalom event, finishing 0.61 seconds ahead of Zrinka Ljutic and securing a podium alongside teammate Paula Moltzan.

Her victory also tied Ingemar Stenmark’s all-time record of 155 podium finishes, further solidifying her status as one of the sport’s greatest. Overcome with emotion at the finish line, Shiffrin expressed gratitude for the support she received during her recovery.

After missing weeks of competition due to injuries, she returned with an aggressive second run, showing no signs of hesitation. “A lot of things had to go right, but I did something right too,” she said tearfully. With this milestone, Shiffrin continues to rewrite skiing’s record books, proving her dominance on the slopes.
