Military Family’s Dog Found After Two-Year Search

A joyful reunion unfolded as Bear, a dog missing for two years, was finally reunited with his military family, now residing in New York. After Bear escaped from a pet sitter’s care in Colorado Springs in 2022, his family’s extensive efforts to find him seemed futile until a breakthrough occurred in July 2024 when volunteers spotted a dog resembling Bear. With the aid of feeding stations and trail cameras, the dedicated team managed to safely capture Bear using a specially designed trap. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region confirmed Bear’s identity through a microchip scan, culminating in an emotional reunion with his family, who were astounded and overjoyed to have him back.
