North Carolina Anglers Set New State Records

In an extraordinary display of skill and a bit of luck, three North Carolina fishermen have made headlines by setting new state records with their recent catches. Christopher Hyche’s yellowmouth grouper, weighing in at an impressive 23 pounds and measuring 33.5 inches, was just shy of a world record. Alongside this exceptional catch, the anglers also set records with a white grunt and an amaco jack fish, all certified by the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries. These achievements not only highlight the anglers’ prowess but also underscore the rich biodiversity and the potential for remarkable aquatic discoveries in North Carolina waters.
