Nurse-Turned-Monster Truck Star Inspires Fans

Rebecca Schnell, 34, is breaking barriers in the male-dominated world of monster truck driving while saving lives as an ER nurse. The dual-career powerhouse became the first female driver for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live in 2020 and now co-drives BIGFOOT, the world’s first monster truck, alongside her husband, Darron Schnell.

Rebecca’s journey began with her passion for monster trucks and a push to create space for women in motorsports. From advocating for a custom-fit seat to overcoming her initial fears behind the wheel, she has become a trailblazer in the industry, inspiring fans with her skill and determination.

As she tours nearly 40 weeks a year, Rebecca cherishes the support of her husband and the joy of meeting fans. For her, the thrill of driving 12,000-pound trucks is matched by the opportunity to empower young girls and boys, proving that women can excel in any arena.
