Oakland Zoo’s Last Elephant to Join Old Friend at Sanctuary

This decision comes after Donna, the last female African elephant at the zoo, was relocated to the sanctuary in September 2023. The Elephant Sanctuary, accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, offers over 3,000 acres of natural habitat, providing elephants like Osh and Donna a chance to live out their lives in a more natural and enriching environment.
