Sweet Ambitions: Beeston Brownies Founders Prove It’s Never Too Late to Grow

After eight years of hard work and determination, Vic and Paula Roberts, the founders of Beeston Brownies, are taking their beloved treats from market stalls to their very first shop. In their sixties, instead of slowing down, the couple is embracing their next big adventure with plans to open in Wollaton Road.

Known for their indulgent brownie flavors like peanut butter, triple chocolate, and salted caramel, the couple has built a loyal following. What began in their home kitchen has grown into a thriving bakery that produces 5,000 brownies a week, with products available across Nottinghamshire and online.

Their journey hasn’t been without challenges. Early struggles at markets and the pandemic tested their resolve, but their grit paid off with wholesale orders and a growing fan base. Now, they’re transforming their passion into a cozy shop with seating for customers to enjoy brownies alongside coffee, hot chocolate, or milkshakes.

The shop is a testament to their philosophy: it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. With plans for a second shop already brewing, the Roberts are proving that success is sweet at any age.
