Tech Leaders Inspire, These 600 Girls Just Got Their Start

In a lively celebration of curiosity and ambition, 600 girls from 22 schools across Northern Ireland gathered in Belfast this week to explore the exciting world of technology. The Empower Girls event turned ICC Belfast into a hub of hands-on discovery, where students tried everything from cybersecurity games to AI demos—often for the first time.

With support from over 50 tech companies and universities, the day was packed with inspiration. Before the event, only 40% of attendees imagined a future in tech. By the end of the day, that number had soared to 72%. Through workshops, challenges, and real-life role models, these young students walked away with more than knowledge—they left with confidence, new dreams, and a glimpse of what their futures could hold.
