Teen Overcomes Cancer to Pursue Military Dream

Britney Moyeda’s journey from cancer survivor to soon-to-be Marine is nothing short of inspirational. Having set her sights on joining the Marine Corps from a young age, Britney faced a monumental challenge when diagnosed with cancer. Enduring 15 cycles of chemotherapy, 11 different medications, and multiple blood transfusions, she demonstrated incredible resilience. Her triumphant moment came on September 7, 2020, when she rang the bell at Texas Children’s Hospital, declaring her cancer-free.
