The Cat Video Festival That’s Bigger Than Ever

Cat Video Fest 2025 is bringing 73 minutes of the internet’s best cat videos to over 500 independent theaters across the U.S. and Canada, all for a wonderful cause. The annual festival, now in its eighth year, features a G-rated compilation of everything feline including animations, music videos, and classic internet favorites, curated by Will Braden who spends thousands of hours watching cat videos to create the perfect selection. Each screening partners with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters, with a portion of ticket proceeds going directly to support cats in need.

Since 2019, the festival has raised over $1 million for animal welfare causes, and last year alone it made over $1 million at the box office. The festival has expanded globally for the first time, reaching France, Spain, Japan, and Brazil in addition to its established presence in the UK and Denmark. Braden notes that the screenings attract audiences from kids and grandparents to hipsters and cat lovers, making it one of the few things that truly appeals to everyone. As theater owners have discovered, once they host Cat Video Fest, they want to do it again every year, proving that combining entertainment with charity creates a winning formula for both cats and communities.
