The Most Heartwarming Photo Shoot You’ve Ever Seen

Twelve rescue dogs in Manchester just experienced their most glamorous day ever, stepping onto a professional fashion set to pose alongside human models in a groundbreaking campaign. The innovative photo shoot, created by Manchester-based clothing brand Uskees in partnership with Dogs 4 Rescue, showcases these deserving dogs in a vibrant, hopeful light that helps potential adopters envision them living their best lives. Among the star models was Bonny, a three-year-old Spitz cross who was once abandoned in a house but has now found her confidence again, relishing every moment of pampering like a true prom queen.

The campaign challenges old stereotypes about what makes a “best in show” winner, proving that rescue dogs are every bit as worthy of these titles as any pedigree champion. With rescue centers currently overflowing due to a perfect storm of post-pandemic surrenders and cost-of-living pressures, this creative approach aims to change perceptions about shelter animals. The message is clear: there’s a perfect rescue dog out there for everyone, regardless of their circumstances or lifestyle. As founder Emma Billington puts it, these are “happy, healthy, well-mannered dogs who would make the ‘model’ pet”, they just need someone to see their potential.
