Tsunami Survivor Turns Tragedy into Triumph Through Community Support

Thuleewan “Kimmy” Boonyarattana, a restaurant owner on Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands, became a beacon of hope following the catastrophic 2004 tsunami. Surviving one of the deadliest natural disasters in history, Kimmy found herself amidst unimaginable devastation. In the wake of the disaster, she channeled her traumatic experience into action, collaborating with other survivors to provide crucial assistance to over 100 people affected by the tsunami.
