Clementine the Rare Orange Lobster Makes a Splashy Return to the Wild

A one-in-30-million orange lobster named Clementine was rescued from a Stop & Shop in Southampton, New York, and released back into the ocean, thanks to the efforts of Humane Long Island. Discovered among a regular shipment and quickly becoming a local celebrity, Clementine was cared for by the grocery store staff until Humane Long Island facilitated a more suitable outcome. After rehabilitation in a specially prepared saltwater tank, Clementine was successfully reintroduced to her natural habitat in the Long Island Sound.
