This Award Show Is Finally Returning Soon

Billboard Women in Music is returning in 2026 to celebrate another year of women’s excellence in the music industry, with the annual awards show taking place at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles to recognize the bold vision, global influence and artistic excellence of women transforming music across all genres. The prestigious event will feature the presentation of awards including the coveted Woman of the Year prize along with performances from top artists, with Emmy winning singer, actress and podcaster Keke Palmer set to host and perform following the release of her album Just Keke. Billboard’s co chief editorial officer Leila Cobo emphasized that Women in Music is about recognizing success and possibility, explaining the company is proud to shine a spotlight on women who are not only making great music but also transforming the industry in meaningful ways. The 2026 honorees have not yet been announced but award recipients will be unveiled in the coming weeks, continuing a tradition that has recognized powerhouse musicians and industry leaders who are shaping the future of music and opening doors for the next generation of female artists.

Last year’s Women in Music saw Doechii take home Woman of the Year while Gracie Abrams, JENNIE of BLACKPINK, aespa, Megan Moroney and more stars accepted various awards celebrating their contributions to music. Over the years the event has honored everyone from Taylor Swift to Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, SZA, Charli xcx, Rosalía and Doja Cat, establishing itself as one of the most important annual celebrations recognizing women’s achievements in an industry that has historically been male dominated. The return of Women in Music in 2026 continues Billboard’s commitment to championing female artists and executives who are breaking barriers, creating groundbreaking music and proving that women’s voices and leadership are essential to the evolution of the music industry.
