This Could Be the Longest Love Story Ever

A Brazilian couple has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the longest marriage of a living couple. Manoel Angelim Dino, 105, and Maria de Sousa Dino, 101, have been happily married for an incredible 84 years and 85 days. Their love story began in 1936 when they first met, but it wasn’t until 1940 that they reunited and fell in love at first sight. Despite initial hesitation from Maria’s mother, Manoel won her over by building a home for their future family.

Over the decades, they raised 13 children while growing tobacco to support them. Their family has since expanded to include 55 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Now in their later years, the couple enjoys quiet evenings together, listening to the rosary and watching Mass. When asked about the secret to their enduring love, Maria simply said, “Love. And that’s something even the most advanced computer could never calculate.” Their record-breaking marriage is a testament to devotion, patience, and a lifetime of shared moments.
