Catherine Rayson, the marketing manager, emphasized that the cathedral has always been open to four-legged visitors but is now making a more concerted effort to promote this aspect. The release of the calendar coincides with Bury St Edmunds’ bid to win the title of England’s most dog-friendly town at the National Dog Friendly Awards again. This initiative not only celebrates the bond between humans and their pets but also aims to attract more visitors to the cathedral and the town by highlighting their pet-friendly policies.
