Lost and Found: Hiker Survives Two Weeks in Australian Wilderness

A 23-year-old medical student, Hadi Nazari, was found alive after spending 14 days lost in Australia’s Kosciuszko National Park. Separated from his group, Nazari survived on two muesli bars, foraged berries, and creek water. He covered over six miles of rugged terrain before approaching another group of hikers for help.

More than 300 rescuers searched the densely wooded area, finding clues like his campfire and hiking poles. Despite the ordeal, Nazari was in good spirits and needed only treatment for dehydration. His reunion with friends was marked by emotional embraces before he was flown to a hospital for assessment.

Nazari’s survival showcases his resilience and preparedness, with searchers applauding the outcome as nothing short of incredible.
