This Record Holding Martial Arts Star Just Popped 35 Balloons With Her Heel

Meet Fatima Naseem. She is 12 years old, holds a black belt in martial arts, and on February 1 she strapped on a pair of high heels and kicked 35 balloons above her head in under 60 seconds, shattering the previous record by 13 balloons. She earned herself an official Guinness World Records title for most balloons burst by high-heel kicks above the head in one minute. Fatima has been training in martial arts since she was three years old, inspired by watching her father Muhammad Rashid who is a serial Guinness World Records breaker, to train every single day. “Watching him train made me fall in love with martial arts,” Fatima said. “It has helped me become more confident, disciplined, and strong.” The record is harder than it looks as flexibility, balance, strength, and pinpoint timing, all simultaneously, in heels, with kicks above the head. Fatima made it look effortless.

The balloon record is just the latest addition to an already extraordinary résumé. Fatima also holds Guinness World Records titles for most balloons burst while holding an egg in 30 seconds, most full contact elbow strikes in one minute, and most splits in one minute – all in the female category. Off the record books, she has won the Under-14 National Championship, collected 15 gold medals across various competitions, and received the PSL “Hamaray Hero” Award and the ISPR Pride of Pakistan Award. And she is just getting started. “My dream is to hold the highest number of martial arts world records in the world,” Fatima said. “I am ready to put in all the effort and dedication to achieve my dreams.” We believe her.
